HANDICAPPING PLAY
A simple handicapping system allows players of mixed abilities to play together and compete as equals. Even the grand maestro of word play and a young child can be a match. The example below is one of many possibilities. The bottom left player has been handicapped by the exclusion of selected star squares and must include the individually positioned letters into their crossword.
